This snippet imports a PG Admin Jet Template using dpage/pgadmin4:latest. The Jet depends on running PostgreSQL and Traefik Jets on the same server. It stores pgAdmin settings under the Jet root and uses Traefik to route HTTPS to the container's internal port 80. The YAML also includes PostgreSQL 17 with optional pgBackRest backups, plus the Traefik, Docker, Fail2ban and Tower Core templates.

Configure and launch

  1. Import the YAML and install the template. Set postgres_password for the bundled PostgreSQL Jet. If enabling its S3 backups, set the repository parameters and the aws_key_id and aws_access_key secrets.
  2. Configure Traefik's instance_certbot_email and the pgAdmin hostname. For automatic Cloudflare DNS registration, set web_domain, cloudflare_token and cloudflare_zone_id. For other providers, ensure the Jet has a URL and a matching DNS record. If using an ACME DNS challenge, set the selected provider's credentials (cloudflare_token, digitalocean_api_token, hetzner_api_token, or aws_dns_key_id and aws_dns_access_key).
  3. Set pgadmin_username and pgadmin_password before launch, or let Prepare generate missing values. Create the Jet targeting Running, retrieve any generated credentials from the Jet variables and sign in at its HTTPS URL.
  4. Register PostgreSQL from within pgAdmin. For the bundled PostgreSQL Jet, use its container name on the tower network, port 5432 and the database login.

Operate

Start, Stop and Restart manage the existing container. Rebuild recreates it using its existing data directory. Destroy removes the Jet's deployment and local pgAdmin settings. Check PGAdmin logs for application errors and Traefik logs for routing or TLS failures.
